Oasis Hindi Press (HPC)

The Oasis English Press reached out to Satyam Smilodya Nayak, the Coordinator of the Hindi Press Club (HPC), to discuss their preparations for the upcoming cultural fest, Oasis.

Satyam started by explaining that the HPC had been working on WallMag, a banner put outside the main auditorium, which features photos of all the StuCCAns and Coordinators along with their remarks. He added that they would be organising their legacy event Bluff Master, and would set up a caricature stall during the fest, with a positive reception being expected from both the events. He stated that HPC had incorporated the fest’s theme in their design.

Speaking about the ongoing preparations for the upcoming fest, Satyam shared that the pre-fest interviews were being edited and WallMag was still being worked upon by the club members. Satyam expressed his dissatisfaction about the budget restraints faced last year, due to which they could not organise their legacy event Bluff Master. He further added that this had made publicising this year’s edition much harder.

Satyam shared that his role as Coordinator had been an overwhelming one from the beginning, with him constantly attempting to meet the expectations of others. On a parting note, Satyam urged the GBM to visit their stall and enjoy the caricatures.
