In the midst of all the pre-fest chaos, the Oasis English Press sat down with Adit Kothari, the Coordinator of the Oasis Hindi Press (OHP), to gain an insight into the club’s workings and preparations for Oasis ‘26.
Adit was elated to share their diverse event line-up. He announced the sophomore edition of BITS ki Adalat, an inspired parody of Aap ki Adalat, which was first held last semester during APOGEE ‘26. Apart from organising their legacy event Bluff Master, a ‘real-life Mafia’ game, Adit stated that the club would also set up a caricature stall. On the literary side of things, the HPC would publish the Oasis Hindi Press.
When asked about how he managed the entire workforce, he swiftly answered that the heaps of work were compartmentalised between different interconnected verticals. This year, the provisional verticals were in charge of the stalls and the newsletter. As the main goal of the club was to ‘cover everything happening on campus’, the distribution of tasks between different members greatly eased the club’s workload.
Adit described the daily workings of the HPC as ‘pretty smooth’. This year, the work began on the 1st of October, and would go on until the conclusion of the fest. According to him, the club members were of a jolly nature, and the bonding sessions ensured a sense of camaraderie. Incidentally, the concept for BITS ki Adalat was ideated in one of these sessions.
Throughout the academic year, the club releases newsletters for all the three fests—BOSM, Oasis, and APOGEE—as well as a Freshers’ Newsletter. Adit encouraged the GBM to regularly go through these, as well as visit their stalls and partake in their events during Oasis.
