With BOSM just a few days away, Priyesh Agarwal, the coordinator of the Creative Activities Club (CrAC), struggled to squeeze in some time for this interview. During BOSM, CrAC is in charge of campus decoration, making panels and structures, and organising their signature event – CrAC-o-Dial. This year, CrAC-o-Dial will have 14 games and the participating two-member teams can compete in any three games of their choice.
For BOSM 2018, the club is constructing a few structures, one of them being Baxter, the BOSM mascot. They are also in charge of making the BOSM banner with embedded LEDs, the BOSM torch, and panels with prominent sports personalities. While the banner will be hung from the clock tower, the panels will be on display at the Gym Grounds. The BOSM letters that serve as a photo-booth for many, are also made by CrAC.
The limited workforce and time constraints associated with regular classes makes it difficult to get work done quickly. However, the groundwork has already been laid and Priyesh is confident that the work will be completed in time. According to Priyesh, the jump from team member, to coordinator has taught him many things. While the club helped him bolster his drawing and painting skills, his experience as coordinator taught him various soft skills, like management, getting things done, and dealing with deadlines.
In parting, Priyesh urged BITSians to explore BOSM, to participate in games and events, and to attend various matches instead of sitting in their rooms. He also promised a lot of fun to everyone who participated in CrAC-o-Dial.
