Gaming Club

Prakher Gaushal aka ‘The Cybertron’ met up with the BOSM English Press for a quick interview where he explained what the Gaming Club has in store for this BOSM.

Prakhar said that the Gaming Club would be conducting one event this fest, called Ignition. It would be a competitive gaming event, with the games on offer this year being Rainbow Six Siege, CS GO, PUBG Mobile, and Mini Militia. The event would be open for both BITSians and outstation participants and would primarily be conducted at Old SAC.

The significant difference this year, as compared to previous editions, would be the presence of Gaming PCs. Last year the club had to use their PCs for the event. However, this year they have procured ten RTX 2060 PCs through an external vendor. Prakhar believes that this would make the event very successful.

Prakhar said that his experience as the coordinator has been great so far. He especially likes the enthusiasm that first years have been showing towards newer games. ‘The CoSSAc has been very supportive towards the funding for the PCs and negotiations with the vendor.’, he added.

On a closing note, Prakhar said that he hopes all students, gamers and non-gamers alike, would come to Old SAC to experience the ambience that they’ve been setting up.
