Coding Club

The coordinator of the Coding Club, Yash Agarwal, took some time out of his busy schedule to give an interview to the Oasis English Press. He said that the club’s main motive is to promote the coding culture on campus, participate in competitions, and organise events and workshops during the fests. For Oasis 2019, the club will be organising two events—a Virtual Reality gaming event, where the game has been developed by them, and a workshop on video editing.

The club is really looking forward to hosting their gaming event. Being a developer of the game, he found the Neon Noir theme very exciting. It helped his team add several creative elements to the game that, in his opinion, brought it to life. Not wanting to spoil the story of the game, he said that there is a lot to look forward to in the event for gaming enthusiasts.

For Oasis, the club was short on time due to the mid-semester examinations. They started working as soon as the examination got over, toiling for six hours straight every day.

Yash has really enjoyed being the coordinator. It has been a different experience for him. Occasionally, it does get hectic for him to manage people alongside his work. Despite that, he loves working alongside his batchmates and juniors. As for the juniors, he said that they were up for the task since day one. They were really determined and hard-working throughout the process of game development.

In parting, Yash hopes people turn up for the events and said that he would ensure that they have a good time. He requested every BITSian to stay on campus and enjoy Oasis to the fullest.
