The APOGEE English Press had the opportunity to sit down with Mallika Ajmani, the coordinator of its counterpart, the APOGEE Hindi Press (AHP), in order to gain insight regarding the working of the club for the fest.
The AHP is organising a one-of-its-kind auction called ‘Riot Story’. Participants can buy story elements such as characters, plotlines, dialogues, props, and more, in return for a certain amount of time. They will then be expected to build a story with their chosen pieces in the remaining time. They will also publish newsletters daily during the fest, reporting on the events and happenings of the day. Mallika also told us that the club is hard at work for WallMag, a newsletter featuring short interviews with CoStAA members and coordinators of departments and clubs.
When asked if the club faced any issues while preparing for these activities, Mallika said they had encountered ‘minor challenges’, but she feels that being a coordinator equipped her with the right skills to deal with them. She said that having a PoR is ‘something I feel everyone should face once.’
Concluding our conversation, the coordinator said that she was looking forward to the fest, and urged everyone to attend it instead of returning home. AHP’s publication, Pravah, will be available for everyone to read as soon as the fest begins.
