The BOSM English Press sat down for a conversation with Ravisha Gambhir, the Captain of the Girls’ Table Tennis team, to shed light on the team’s preparations and aspirations for the fest.
Ravisha explained that the strategies employed by female players differ significantly from those adopted by their male counterparts, which is why the team had been focusing on using routines that complement their strengths.
In addition, Ravisha spoke of her commitment to maintaining parity with her teammates and ensuring that all members of the team consistently attended their practice sessions. She expressed her gratitude towards the Institute for providing the necessary inventory for their training and attested to the seamless flow of communication with the CoSSAc, which was a pivotal part of their preparation for BOSM.
When asked about the challenges faced by the team, she highlighted that the sport faced a lack of enthusiastic participation. Typically, only a handful of teams compete in their category, which almost guarantees a medal for every participating team. However, Ravisha hoped to have the proudest moment of her captaincy when her team would ascend to the highest pedestal during the fest.
Ravisha concluded by commending the 2023 batch for their remarkable enthusiasm towards sports, which fueled her optimism for the future.
