With Oasis right around the corner, the Oasis English Press sat down with Tejas Mathur, the coordinator of Comedy Hub, popularly known as ComHub, for a conversation about their preparations for the upcoming fest.

Tejas stated that the club will organize three events — Wing Wars, Serotonin, and High on Helium.  He explained that it takes about six months to write the content for their main show, Serotonin. He added that the club has been holding set review meets, where they listen to each other’s sets and give their feedback. He highlighted that the club had also finished collecting all the inventory for the rest of their events and was in between finalising their logistical arrangements.

Tejas envisioned that in future editions of the fest, he would like to call a comedian and organise a comedy workshop.

When asked about the work that the club does beyond Oasis, Tejas remarked that ComHub does a number of shows throughout the year. He explained that the club holds Open Mics, shows in between semesters, opener performances pre-N2O, and performances at Tott as well. Tejas also mentioned that ComHub has its own YouTube channel and Instagram page, where they post their content.

Tejas stated that ComHub was founded by Jay Panchal a few years ago and it was due to his efforts that the club is still standing. He remarked that the club intended to start performing shows in nearby metro cities like Delhi in the future.

In conclusion, Tejas hoped that all BITSians have a few laughs during the fest and have fun.
