The APOGEE English Press reached out to Kunal Dhingra, coordinator of the Economic and Finance Association, for a conversation about the club’s plans for the upcoming fest.

Kunal explained that they are organising three events this year: the Stock Market Simulation (SMS); Bidwiser, a mock IPL auction; and Entrepreneurship Conclave in collaboration with Paper Evaluation and Presentation (PEP). Kunal further mentioned that this would be the first time the Entrepreneurship Conclave would be happening on a large scale after the pandemic. He added that the event is a business-planning event, paired with a seminar, for which investors also arrived in the past.

Kunal shared that the club had been preparing for these events since the start of the semester. He noted that for Entrepreneurship Conclave, they reached out to start-ups and selected the top eight out of 60 to invite to APOGEE. Additionally, for Bidwiser, their primary task was to compile a database of all the participating players and draw up a judgment criteria. He added that for the Stock Market Simulation, their main goal was simply increasing participation.

When asked about challenges faced by the association Kunal replied that the association had not encountered any. He mentioned that CoStAA had been very supportive.
