The Oasis English Press sat down with Divay Pratap Singh, the Coordinator of The Eastern Outlook (TEO), for a short interview to gain a better understanding of their work during Oasis. 

Divay noted that TEO had planned three events for the fest this year: Anime Quiz, ESPOIR: Gameroom, and Anime Photobooth. He described ESPOIR to be a card game competition and said that this year it would be a two-phase event. The top six contenders from the first round of card games would compete in a game of ‘judgement’ for a prize pool of INR 3000. 

Divay revealed that Anime Photobooth would be held in collaboration with Instax. He stated that people would get a chance to click polaroids with props made by the club. When asked about his experience as a Coordinator, Divay mentioned that he had previously held a Position of Responsibility for TEO and was used to his work as a Coordinator.

He also cleared the misconception about TEO being an anime club, saying that it also had communities for other Eastern entertainment media. As a closing message, Divay requested everyone to attend their events and enjoy the fest.
