As APOGEE 2025 draws near, the APOGEE English Press contacted Madhurika Bhatt, the coordinator of the Association of Computing Machinery—Women(ACM-W), to learn about their plans for the upcoming fest.
Madhurika elaborated that they would host only one event– a workshop in collaboration with NVIDIA. She described that an instructor would come from NVIDIA’s Deep Learning Institute to teach the fundamentals of deep learning for the workshop.
Madhurika explained that their work began in January. She remarked that unfortunately, they had to start their preparation for the workshop from scratch as their previous instructor was no longer available. She said that despite fixing the issue, they came across multiple schedule clashes, which, after numerous discussions, were ultimately resolved.
Madhurika stated that her experience as the coordinator was hectic owing to their small workforce, but they eventually met their goals. When asked about her experience with the CoStAA, she expressed her gratitude for their support and thanked the General Secretary for his help with the NVIDIA contact.
When asked to address the GBM, Madhurika urged all girls to engage in technology as countless possibilities were laid out for them. She added that she expected a higher footfall this year as they had generated a positive response last year and hoped to see more participation in their events.
