Most major events and some prof-shows during Oasis take place in the ‘World Class Auditorium’ of BITS Pilani. Managing and regulating who enters and leaves the auditorium is no mean feat, considering the footfall that it recieves. These tasks are undertaken by the Department of AudiForce comes in.

They manage crowds inside the auditorium and ensure that events go on smoothly. They are also in charge of regulating entry for the prof-shows held in SR Lawns. Their pre-fest work involves the reservation of auditorium seats for specific events and the formulation of entry plans. Any Department/Club wishing to conduct an event inside the auditorium needs to approach the Department of AudiForce first.

The co-ordinator of the department, Yaswanth R, said that they have a larger workforce this year. Many of the department’s members, held back by work, did not get to attend the prof-shows last year. They have thus expanded their workforce so that the responsibilities are divided. Talking about this year’s theme for Oasis, Yaswanth brought up his favourite movie, Pulp Fiction. He went on to say that the theme was pretty impressive. While he felt his experience as a coordinator had been exciting, he was also admittedly nervous, having to handle a workforce of around fifty people. 

On a parting note, he said that he wants people to ‘chill’ and enjoy the fest while ensuring that a certain decorum is maintained.
