The BOSM English Press sat down with C Devansh Reddy, the Coordinator of the Department of Audiforce, to gain insights into their preparations and responsibilities for the fest.
Devansh began by shedding light on the Department of Audiforce’s primary responsibilities, which revolve around managing entry and exit points during professional shows, scanning tickets, and providing support to the performing artists. Notably, this year marks a significant shift for the department as they take on additional responsibilities for the fest. These include barricading the areas surrounding the professional shows, which is an added layer of coordination and security that Devansh states the department is ready to embrace. Their preparation for the fest mainly involves securing the necessary permissions for these new responsibilities.
Devansh explained that the turnout to the professional shows this year is expected to be significantly higher than that of last year because of the timely arrival of the newest batch on campus. He also anticipated that the concert featuring Benny Dayal would be a major crowd-puller.
What Devansh finds most rewarding in his role as coordinator is the sense of empowerment that comes with regulating entry and exit during Prof Shows. He emphasised the vital role that transparency plays within the department and highlighted the seamless nature of their operations. While their work processes are well-structured, they occasionally face challenges posed by individuals attempting to sneak into the concerts without paying for them.
Devansh concluded by extending an appeal to the GBM to attend the professional shows and immerse themselves in the fest’s vibrant atmosphere.
