Axetacy is an event for solo guitarists- both acoustic and electric to showcase their skills. The event had two rounds- qualifiers and finals. The final round was further divided into two rounds, and took place at NAB Audi. The event began with considerable delay.

The final round had four finalists – three guitarists selected from the qualifiers and one wildcard entry from Rocktaves. For the first round, finalists had to jam for three minutes to a tune played in the background. All four finalists played the electric guitar, and the top two contestants from this round qualified for the second round.

The second round was a face-off round. Both guitarists had to play for a minute each, while switching scales and tempo as directed by the judges. The background music set the tempo for this round, and the crowd encouraged both finalists with cheers and hoots.
