The English Press Club visited Sky Lawns, the venue of the Batch Snaps for the batches of 2020, 2021, and the higher-degree and MBA batches, held on 17th and 18th February to report on the proceedings.
The informal snaps took place at 2 PM on the 17th, with students dressed in a variety of creative outfits. Multiple groups came dressed in their personal themes. On the other hand, several students showed up in formal attire for their official clicks.
However, the day was not without its share of mishaps. The owner of the Sky Lawns Cafe started removing everyone from the lawns around 5:15 PM as someone had inadvertently started a fire with a lit cigarette.
The Department of Photography was at the venue taking snaps of the various groups. Multiple clickers and detailers went across the venue trying to cover every batch. The snaps officially concluded at 5 PM – but a few people stayed back around to get a few more photos.
The formal snaps took place on the 18th, starting from 10:15 AM. The venue was filled with a greyscale crowd, with students wearing formal attire. The day proceeded similarly to the previous day, with various students crowding the lawns and getting photographs taken. The day was largely uneventful and concluded peacefully at 5 PM.
