The APOGEE English Press sat down with Bhavishya Garg, the APOGEE Coordinator of BITS Pilani Consulting Club to learn more about the club’s plans for APOGEE.
For this year’s APOGEE, the club will be organising a case competition called CaseQuesta. The event, which is sponsored by FinMapp, will test the participants’ ability to analyse a case pertaining to a problem currently faced by the sponsor. Two preliminary online rounds have already been conducted. In addition to this event, the club, with assistance from the company, will be conducting a workshop on personal finance. The session will cover topics concerning effective management of one’s funds and various investment options to become financially independent.
Bhavishya mentioned that getting the finalists of CaseQuesta to come to a remote location like Pilani was challenging. He added that another challenge was a limited workforce, given that the 2022 batch had not been recruited yet.
When not occupied with fest work, the club primarily analyses case studies and releases its reports on them. Bhavishya said that although his time as a coordinator had been overwhelming, he had enjoyed getting to know more people, particularly the juniors, and learning to be more efficient. His position as the Coordinator of Inspired Karters Electric brought forth additional challenges as well. On a closing note, he wanted BITSians to attend the club’s workshop and enjoy APOGEE 2023 to the fullest.
