With the BITS Open Sports Meet (BOSM) around the corner, the English Press Club sat down with Sarvaksh Shukla, the BOSM coordinator of the Hindi Press Club (HPC), to discuss the club’s plans for the fest. 

He stated that the BOSM Hindi Press would publish daily newsletters during BOSM. They will also be putting up “Wallmags”, which contain short interviews with all of the team captains, club coordinators, and the CoSSAc printed on long sheets of paper put over standees, which they would place at three locations expected to be the busiest on campus—the Main Auditorium, GymG, and SAC. 

Aside from the HPC newsletters and Wallmags, they will also be hosting “Spotlight”, in which the Hindi Press Club members and interested team members will provide live commentary during the matches. In the weeks leading up to BOSM, HPC had worked on designing Wallmags and gathering the inventory required for Spotlight. 

This year, HPC is planning on going digital, posting videos and live interviews on their Instagram account. He added that of all the events, Spotlight was his favourite. He stated that previous BOSM presses had inspired him and praised their events and efforts. He said that he had taken the advice of his seniors as well as the previous BOSM coordinators. 

When asked if he had a message for the readers, he encouraged everyone to enjoy the event, wished good luck to the teams and captains, and thanked the clubs and departments for stepping up to help with the cultural aspect of the event.
