The BOSM English Press (BEP) reached out to Aaryan Raj Jindal, the Coordinator of the Sports Publicity and Design Team for BOSM 2022, to gain some insight into the work of his team. He explained that their work involves the design and development of the logo, theme, and merchandise for BOSM, along with providing aid to all the departments and clubs working for the fest.
The team had started ideating and planning for BOSM 2022 online back in June after the second semester ended for the New Academic Calendar (NAC) students. Aaryan mentioned that his experience so far has been pleasant and that they were bringing back BOSM after a three-year absence while navigating various parts of the fest. One of the major challenges he faced was assigning work to the team members while keeping in mind the different, and often clashing, schedules of the Old Academic Calendar (OAC) and NAC students.
Aaryan explained that the recruitment process is conducted parallelly for the four subdivisions of the team—content writing, graphic designing, photography, and video editing. Two recruitment rounds are conducted each semester and the applicants are selected based on their proficiency in the subdivision they have applied for. When asked about his interactions with the Institute and the CoSSAc, he mentioned that there had been communication gaps at times, and their proposals had received late replies, which had led to delays in their plans.
He added that his team had not faced any other issues or challenges and they were functioning fairly smoothly. Ending the interview, Aaryan said that this would be the first BOSM for many, and he hopes that everyone enjoys it.
