Civil Engineering Association

The APOGEE English Press recently interviewed Bhuman Pandita, the coordinator of the Civil Engineering Association, to discuss their preparations for the upcoming fest.

This year, the association is hosting two events. The first—Bridge Blitz— is a model-making competition where participants construct a model bridge using provided materials and aim to meet specific criteria. The bridges will be tested for their load-bearing capacity, with the strongest bridge declared the winner.

The second event—Nakshatra—challenges participants to design their ideal BITS campus, judged based on efficiency, sustainability, and creativity. While preparations have been proceeding smoothly, Bhuman acknowledged past challenges with low participation rates. He emphasized upon the association’s efforts to enhance marketing and inject more enjoyment into the events while maintaining technical excellence.

Bhuman expressed gratitude towards the CoStAA and ADP for their support and assistance. Reflecting on his experience as coordinator, he praised the exceptional contributions of junior members and highlighted the ample support received in both event conceptualization and logistical arrangements. He encouraged all BITSians to embrace the festival spirit and witness how the fusion of technology and fun can create memorable experiences.
