The Coding Club coordinator, Harshith Vasireddy, sat down with the BOSM English Press to discuss the club’s preparations for BOSM 2023. The Coding Club’s responsibilities for the fest include creating the inauguration video, theme reveal, and Roulette app, which allowed the students to wager on the matches being played and earn points.
The Roulette app is a staple of every BOSM, and it is always a great success among the crowds. When asked about the changes made in the app as compared to previous years, Harshit explained that the changes had mostly been made in the design of the app rather than the backend. The second and third-year members of the club’s app team have worked hard to make significant improvements in the app’s UI and UX, making it more visually appealing and easier to use.
He went on to say that being the BOSM coordinator of the Coding Club is both a privilege and a responsibility, and that he was grateful that his seniors trusted him enough to put him in this position. He hopes to do a good job and stand up to their expectations. When asked for a message from the Coding Club to all BITSians, he responded that one should not be afraid to try out coding for themselves if they are interested in doing so and should not be deterred by whether or not they are accepted into a relevant club or department.
