The Coordinator of the Coding Club, Aarav Goel, took some time out of his busy schedule to give an interview to the BOSM English Press. Aarav mentioned that the club would be releasing a “BOSM Roulette” App, where students would be able to place bets on the matches being played and win ‘kind points’. The points would be redeemable at ‘kind stores’ in exchange for different items. The club has worked on updating the app’s User Interface (UI) and has also added a feature to view live scores of the matches.
The app’s ideation began during the semester break, and the actual work started after the CoSSAc approved the concept and UI. The app is now functional and will soon be published on Google Play and App Store. Aarav also recalled how recruits were not involved in the decision-making process in the earlier years, but now the juniors are expected to actively participate in the same and provide creative inputs.
Aarav talked about how he enjoys responsibility and has had a fun experience being coordinator. The freedom of being able to implement his ideas, coupled with the feeling of doing something impactful, has been surreal for him. He acknowledged the support and cooperation he has received from the club members, enabling him to work without pressure. On a concluding note, Aarav urged the students to check out the app and enjoy themselves at BOSM.
