With BOSM close at hand, clubs and departments are working in full swing with the sole aim of making the fest a success. Varshith Naidu, the coordinator of Firewallz, spared some time from his hectic schedule to give some insight into their role in the fest.

The primary purpose of the department is to register participants for BOSM and ensure that they have the required documents to take part in it. ‘We have two booths during BOSM – one stationed near the gate and the other inside Gym Grounds; contestants are expected to visit both of them to get themselves enrolled’, said Varshith. He added that their department has to closely coordinate with Controls and Rec ’n’ Acc since players are expected to visit the booths of the two departments for further formalities after registration. They also have the task of surveillance against substance abuse and take the help of guards in this regard. With BOSM approaching, the juniors are engaged with designing the panel for the booths.

‘Unlike other departments, we work for all the three fests and that definitely makes us special’, remarked Varshith. He seemed concerned about the possibility of missing classes during BOSM. According to thim, being the coordinator was a challenging but gratifying experience at the same time.

Varshith wished luck to the sports teams of BITS and put forth his request to fellow BITSians to cheer and support them in their endeavour of bringing laurels to the Institute.
