The Oasis English Press sat down with Hari Charan, the Coordinator of the Department of Firewallz, to discuss their plans for the upcoming fest. 

The primary role of the department was to ensure the safe and smooth conduction of the fest, which involved securing campus premises, as well as processing guest registrations and paperwork. Hari further explained that the department formulated and shared the guidelines regarding the safety measures, and penalties in cases of misconduct to the public. To ensure smooth regulation of the fest, Hari stated that the department worked closely with all the StuCCAns so that all traffic entering the campus premises could be controlled. Moreover, he said that the department consulted the Corroboration and Review Committee (CRC) to deliberate on the fines and penalties to be imposed in case of misconduct. 

While sharing his expectations for the upcoming edition of Oasis, Hari said that he expected a larger scale of events owing to the fee being imposed on the student body. When asked about his experience as the Coordinator, Hari said that this was not the first time he had held a position of responsibility, which enabled him to effectively communicate with and manage his team. He advised his successors to maintain positive relations with everyone to ensure smooth functioning of the department.

Hari concluded by encouraging the participating students to relax and enjoy the fest, whilst maintaining and following all the regulations and guidelines.
