The APOGEE English Press sat down with Madhav Nath Khanna, the Coordinator of the Department of Sounds, to gain an insight into the work done by the department during the fest.

He said that since its inception, the department’s primary work has been handling the sound system for the events that take place in the auditorium. He added that they also manage the distribution and setup of audio-related equipment required anywhere on the campus.

He mentioned that one of the main challenges the department faces is that their resources are not at par for handling the requirements of a fest. ‘Most of the equipment in the Audi is probably older than me right now,’ he joked. When asked about the technical issues that may arise, he said that they are inevitable, and the only workaround is to diagnose and rectify them quickly. He added that to ensure instances like these do not occur, one should know the equipment through and through, and handle it with care.

He concluded the interview by expressing his excitement for the fest and asked everyone to enjoy themselves to the fullest.
