You are reading Issue Four. It has been a while. We are not going to explain ourselves beyond saying that this campus does not make it easy to slow down and write, and we suspect you know exactly what we mean.
Midsems just got over. APOGEE is on its way. Somewhere in this narrow window, when the dust from one thing has settled and the storm of the next has not quite arrived, we thought it was worth putting something out.
We have tried asking questions nobody really asked us to ask. Why the campus feels a little more watched than it used to. Where the attendance policy was ten years ago and where it is going. What is left of clubs that were old before we were born. Whether the feedback form you filled out at the end of last sem went anywhere. What the placement numbers are actually saying if you listen past the headline. What the Mela means to the town that hosts us and barely makes it into our conversations. And Nagar Ji, who has been here while everything around him changed.
There is a lot going on. There always is. We think that is exactly when it matters to pay attention.
Happy Reading!
