With BOSM just around the corner, the BOSM English Press sat down with Nikhil Biyani, the Coordinator of the Gaming Club, to learn more about the club and their preparations for the upcoming fest.
Nikhil shared that the gaming club is organising a total of five events in BOSM, three of which will be online and the other two will be offline. The online events include Valorant, COD Mobile and Clash Royale, while the offline events are FIFA and WWE. The club usually tries to organise as many online events as possible, but now that people will actually be on campus after so long, Nikhil said that the club wanted to engage people in more offline events.
When asked about his experience as the BOSM coordinator so far, Nikhil said that it has taught him a lot about how ‘everything works in a structured way’ and all the preparations that go into organising a fest of such a large scale. He also shared that his interactions with the CoSSAc have been quite positive so far, with both sides pitching each other their ideas and coming to mutual agreements about how they want the events to be organised.
Nikhil said the club is expecting quite a large turnout, particularly for the offline games. He hopes that the freshers, who will be coming to campus during BOSM, actively take part in the events as well.
Towards the end of the interview, Nikhil explained that since the recruitment process will be offline this year, the seniors will interact with juniors in person and recruit people based on their interest in the club’s work and their dedication towards gaming.
