With Oasis right around the corner, Adarsh Mishra, the Oasis Coordinator of the Gaming Club, sat down with the Oasis English Press to talk about the club’s work for the upcoming fest.
Adarsh mentioned that despite not hosting multiple events throughout the year, Gaming Club’s Oasis stall has gained huge recognition for the revenue it generates during Oasis. When asked about the activities the Gaming Club has planned for this edition of Oasis, Adarsh explained that the club will set up their gaming stall, Eclipse.
The tournament, Eclipse, will have participants competing across multiple platforms and games. As an upgrade to the PlayStation 4 consoles used last year, this year the club will be using PlayStation 5 consoles featuring games like God of War Ragnarok, and Spider-Man 2. Adarsh expects massive participation in light of the new systems and games.
When asked about his experience as club coordinator, Adarsh said that the Gaming Club was originally the vision of Yuvraj Singh and his wing and that being a part of the club has been an honour. He also said that the transition from being a member to becoming the coordinator has been smooth.Â
Regarding preparations for the fest, Adarsh remarked that the club had endless meetings with sponsors and a lot of paperwork for the stalls.
For the final lap of preparations, he said that contacting the vendors for equipment and getting the stall set up perfectly was the prime focus, along with finalizing posters and publicity. As a parting note, Adarsh wished for the students to visit their stalls, have fun, and enjoy Oasis to the fullest.
