Keshav Sharma of Gurukul was waiting outside the SAC, where he met up with the BOSM English Press to talk about his club’s activities in BOSM.
Gurukul is a musical society bringing together people who perceive music as a hobby. They organize events spanning the entire year, including a nite every semester, the Psenti nite, and a performance in the BOSM inauguration. According to Keshav, their past experience at the fest has been wonderful. As it is the first fest on campus for the freshers, they are thrilled to perform. This time around, they plan to introduce some new live elements, one of these being vocal processing.
Keshav’s experience in Gurukul has been ‘tremendous.’ He feels that he has grown a lot as a musician in his time with the club. The presence of ‘so many amazing musicians’ around has motivated him to try new genres and expand his horizons. He also feels that Gurukul has gone through a gradual change over the years. They have also tried exploring new avenues of music such as EDM, along with performing many new and different songs.
On being asked about balancing academics and Gurukul, he replied, ‘Once you get the groove, it’s all right.’ As he departs, he adds, ‘I wish all the best to all the participants and hope they bring glory to our college.’
