Amidst the preparations for Oasis, the coordinator of the Hindi Activities Society (HAS), Irvit Gupta, spared some time to talk to the Oasis English Press regarding the club’s involvement in the fest. 

HAS is organizing five events for this year’s Oasis—N2O, Purple Prose, Stand-up Soapbox, Antaak, and Filmy Muqabla. With all the events being conducted offline this year, Purple Prose and Standup Soapbox will have finalists attending from different cities. While Purple Prose is an event for poetry lovers, Filmy Muqabla is a quiz on Bollywood movies, and Antaak will be a ‘Bollywood songs’ quiz. Irvit informed the OEP that a 57-year-old woman would also be participating in the quizzes.

Speaking about his experience as a coordinator, Irvit mentioned that it has been ‘a rollercoaster ride’ for him. With the workload being distributed among the joint coordinators, managing all five events together along with his academics became less hectic. Irvit told the OEP that this year the club recruited a larger number of juniors and that the club has also worked on improving their management skills, allowing them to handle any last-minute problems with ease.
