The BOSM English Press had the opportunity to converse with Shreyak Shintre, the BOSM Coordinator of Hindi Activities Society (HAS), to understand their work and preparations for the upcoming fest.
Shreyak began by relaying that HAS was one of the oldest clubs on campus. For BOSM this year, the club would work on N2O and Quillympics. For their comedy show, N2O, HAS had already decided on the artists they would invite. The latter was a pop quiz consisting of six rounds, each lasting twelve hours. Winners of this quiz would be given prizes in kind.
He stated that their work remains unchanged from the previous editions of BOSM, and that they had begun bringing in artist quotations for N2O. Shreyak mentioned that the junior batches had also started preparing the Quillympics quiz in work sessions and that the majority of their work would be during the fest itself.
Overall, he said that BOSM was a ‘chill fest’ for HAS, and with the CoSSAc being responsive, the club had not faced any hiccups in their preparations for their events. He added that, while sometimes stressful, being the BOSM Coordinator for HAS had been a good experience with some ‘ups and downs.’
To the freshers, Shreyak recommended that they should put academics on the backseat and enjoy their first fest. He encouraged them to attend concerts, events like N2O, and to show their support for the BITSians competing during BOSM.
