Hindi Activities Society – Anika Chhabra

The BOSM English Press sat down with the Coordinator of the Hindi Activities Society (HAS), Anika Chhabra, to gain an understanding of their preparation for the upcoming sports fest.

When asked about what preparatory work HAS does during the two weeks leading up to BOSM, she told us that they conduct mess signings and also coordinate with other departments and clubs to ensure the venue, lighting, and seating arrangements are all in order before the event.

Anika shared that HAS will be conducting N2O—a comedy professional show—and Quilympics—an online sports quiz—for this year’s BOSM. She said that this is the first time HAS will be conducting N2O during BOSM. The well-known comedians, Rajat Chauhan and Biswa Kalyan Rath will be performing for the event. She added that it will be conducted on October 18, which is the last day of the fest and they are expecting a turnout of around 2,000 people for the show. When asked about the challenges faced while organising N2O during BOSM for the first time, Anika said that she had to work with the Sports Council and the CoSSAc, which are entirely different committees from what HAS usually works with. She also said that she had no seniors that she could contact for guidance considering that this is the first time N2O is being held during BOSM.

HAS will also be collaborating with DVM to organise Quilympics through the official BOSM app. The quiz will continue throughout the duration of the fest and have multiple rounds which will be updated daily. The top three participants at the end will receive prizes.

When asked about how her experience has been as the BOSM coordinator for HAS, Anika said that it has been great and she has not faced any major problems. She concluded by urging everyone to attend N2O.
