HPC – Ritwik Singh

The BOSM English Press reached out to the BOSM coordinator of the Hindi Press Club (HPC), Ritwik Singh, to learn about their preparation for the same.

Ritwik shared that they had started their pre-fest work in September itself. They have now begun interviewing the respective post-holders of all clubs and departments working for the fest.

Ritwik also gave details about Spotlight, their ‘signature’ on-the-spot commentary event. It gives spectators a chance to join HPC members, at the podium, in delivering live commentary. In the previous editions, this event was restricted to basketball, but this year they will cover cricket matches as well. Ritwik added that the live commentary can be done in either Hindi or English. He further shared that he had reached out to the 2019 BOSM coordinator for guidance before he chalked out the execution of the event.

The HPC would also be publishing its daily newsletter during the fest which would include highlights and results of the matches conducted on the previous day. Of late, they have actively been promoting the BOSM Roulette which is a point-based betting event, for players to place bets on ongoing matches, on the BOSM app. Additionally, they are also working on the “Wall-Mag”, which is a banner featuring interviews of all CoSSAcns and coordinators of other organising clubs, along with their take on this year’s theme—Rise To Glory.

The interview concluded with Ritwik urging the GBM to participate in Spotlight proactively and to ‘not view Hindi as a secondary language’.
