Inspired Karters Electric (IKE) is a Formula Student team, whose main idea is to build electric cars and participate in Formula Student events across the country. Bhavishya Garg, the coordinator of the club, briefed the Oasis English Press (OEP) about their plans for Oasis.

IKE has never organised any event in the past and decided to host events for this Oasis to raise awareness about the club in college. The club has two events lined up for Oasis—the F1 live screening and the F1 simulator. On November 20, the live screening of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will take place. The other event will be conducted in collaboration with Gaming Club, wherein they will be setting up a simulator with their own chassis.

For their simulator event, the club has been contacting vendors from Delhi and Jaipur in order to procure the consoles, monitors, steering wheels and other items required for the event. The live screening event on the other hand does not require a lot of logistical preparation and IKE is working with the StuCCA to make the required arrangements.

When asked about the problems faced by the club in trying to organise these events, Bhavishya expressed his concerns regarding the popularity of the events considering the fact that IKE is conducting them for the first time. However, the club’s main focus remains on preparing for their competitions and they have gathered a small workforce to ensure that the events do not cause any interference with the team’s work schedule.
