The Oasis English Press interviewed the Coordinator of the Manufacturing Engineering Association (MNA), Jai Avasthi, to talk about their preparations for Oasis ’23.
MNA is gearing up to organise an improved version of the Remote-Controlled Car Racing Competition held last year. Jai described that the association has repurposed scrapped toy cars to create six remote-controlled racing vehicles. He added that they had modified the cars’ frequencies and replaced their parts in order to prepare for the race.
Jai mentioned that, unlike last year, the race will take place on an off-road track with heavy bumps and terrains, leading to a more thrilling event. The cars will be controlled by students on a first-come, first-served basis, with a maximum of six students racing in each game.
When asked about his experience as the coordinator, Jai commented that he was excited about setting up the race tracks and that he expected the event to be an overall improvement from last year.
On a parting note, he hoped that the event would be memorable for the attendees and that people realise MNA is a lot more fun than they estimated.
