The Oasis English Press sat down with Riddhi Beria, the Coordinator of Nirmaan, to understand the inner workings of the club and its preparations for the fest.
Riddhi explained the women empowerment domain, where they taught beneficiaries skills that they can use to sell products during the fest. These products included tote bags, scrunchies, and bangles, among others. In addition, Nirmaan also hosted several fun stalls, including food challenges and party games. She further explained that they changed these products and games every year to keep things fresh.
With almost 200 volunteers, Riddhi stated that Nirmaan had a substantial workforce. When asked about how she managed the club to get work done efficiently, she explained that a separate team was formed for Oasis through various interactions to ensure a streamlined flow. However, anyone who wished to volunteer at stalls could do so.
When asked whether Oasis allowed her or her team to enjoy the event, she clarified that the environment within the team was fun and that everyone was able to establish good friendships and bonds. Riddhi also revealed that despite the fact that she found working with her senior batch and her batchmates more comfortable, the joy of meeting new people and teaching them drove her to work harder.
Concluding the interview, Riddhi invited everyone to come to their stalls with their friends and enjoy the fest to the fullest while contributing to society.
