The average BITSian spends more time online than they realise, whether it’s nervously skimming through slides, enrolling in courses, or applying for make-ups. Here is a list of official websites that every BITSian should be familiar with:
- Nalanda LMS (Learning Management System): Nalanda is a one-stop solution for most academic needs. Lecture slides, handouts, tutorial sheets, and nerve-wracking Post-Compre Total (PCT) sheets are all uploaded by professors for students to view and download. After registration, at the start of the semester, registered courses appear directly on Nalanda. Most professors use Nalanda for announcements and to provide study material. Students can access Nalanda on their web browsers through their BITS email IDs. Students can also access Nalanda through their mobile phones by downloading the Moodle App, which has a more convenient user interface than the website.

- AUGSD (Academic-Undergraduate Studies Division): All important official documents, such as the timetable, the yearly bulletin, exam seating arrangements, and the academic calendar released by the AUGSD are uploaded on this website. The make-up application — for someone who will be unavailable for a lab, quiz, mid-semester, or comprehensive examination can be filled out through this website. Similarly, a leave application, for someone leaving the campus temporarily, can be procured here.

- ERP (Student System): The ERP Website is mostly used for course registration, fee payment, timetable scheduling, and viewing grades. Like Nalanda, one can access ERP by logging in through their BITS email ID. Though the process might test one’s patience at times, ERP is the only way to register for courses. The registration process involves the selection of the courses and the desired sections to compile the timetable. ERP also includes a Finances section that displays the fee requirement for students and provides a direct link to the payment gateway. The website additionally shows the student’s SGPA and CGPA, along with the grades the student has achieved in all their registered courses.

- SWD (Student Welfare Division): The SWD website holds important financial records, including the breakdown of Students’ Union (SU) dues and the funds contributed by the student for various events. It also tracks expenses such as food purchased from campus eateries using the SU App, club merchandise costs, and other related fees for each month and semester. Moreover, the SWD website facilitates easy applications for essential documents like Transfer or Migration Certificates, and the ID card as well.

- The English Press Club Website: (Nothing like a shameless plug, is there?) The EPC Website serves as a time capsule, offering a glimpse into the past. Within its virtual walls lie detailed accounts of fests from years bygone, as well as multiple iterations of The Fine Print and archives of The Cactus Flower dating as far back as 1983. Moreover, a standout feature of the website is a 3D render of the BITS Map. The website has information about the different clubs, societies, and departments on campus and also has links to the various Facebook and Discord communities for BITSians.
