The Public Policy Club (PPC) is where like-minded BITSians discuss current affairs and world politics and is an ideal club for CAT or UPSC aspirants who wish to brush up on their general knowledge. The Oasis English Press (OEP) had a brief talk with the Oasis coordinator for the PPC, Aryaman Shah, to learn more about the club and its preparations for the upcoming fest.

Aryaman said that the PPC will be conducting its flagship event, “RealPolitik”, this Oasis. RealPolitik is a contest where participants can create factions by bidding on eminent political figures from the past and present in order to compete with each other. The factions will be judged on various parameters like mass appeal, ideologies, female or regional representation, and much more.

Aryaman added that RealPolitik is always an immensely popular event at fests and several participants end up spending the majority of their time and money on this event. He hopes that RealPolitik lives up to its mammoth expectations and assured the OEP that the PPC is working hard to ensure that the participants have a great experience. 

When asked about his personal expectations from Oasis, Aryaman smiled and said that he is excited to finally witness an offline Oasis in all its glory, since the last two editions were conducted partially or completely online. Aryaman has had a great experience being the coordinator for the PPC and credits his seniors for being helpful and supportive to him during his initial days at the club.
