Radioaktiv

With Oasis just a week off and deadlines approaching, Harmeet Singh Makkar, the coordinator of Radioaktiv, managed to take some time out of his busy work sessions to provide the Oasis English Press an insight on the club’s functioning and its plans for the fest.

Staying true to its name, Radioaktiv remains active throughout the year. Apart from its activities in Oasis, Radioaktiv also organises radio shows on campus, with the next one tentatively scheduled for the second semester. The club also organised Beg Borrow Hunt this BOSM, which saw a large turnout. Following tradition, the club is organising Prom and Escape Room this Oasis. Preparations for the same are already underway. The decoration work has begun, and he is hopeful that the work will be completed on time.

Harmeet feels that Radioaktiv has come a long way as a club. Its performance has witnessed a tremendous growth in the last two years, and the members have bonded significantly better than before.

Though the entire team is working hard for the events, at times it becomes difficult to manage the schedules of all members and ensure that people turn up on time for the work sessions. However, Harmeet is confident that his dedicated team of 32 members can pull off everything that they have planned for the fest.

Harmeet’s short experience as coordinator so far has been a nice one. ‘Last Oasis, I enjoyed the fest and attended all the events. I am not sure if I will be able to do that this time,’ said Harmeet.

Before parting, Harmeet urged the audience and participants, especially first-year students, to not only work for but also enjoy the fest.
