With the 50th edition of Oasis right around the corner, the Oasis English Press sat down with Amish Mehta, the Coordinator of RadioAktiv, for a quick chat about the club’s preparation for the fest. 

RadioAktiv will be organising the Prom Night and Laser Tag, and according to Amish, the club is preparing to present their greatest work yet. ‘We plan on using structures that are 8–10 feet tall, and the scale has changed completely after COVID,’ said Amish. He added that for the Prom Night, they plan to have booths where long exposure shots will be taken for couples, along with huge hampers and gifts for Mr and Miss Prom. 

‘Laser tag will be a very fun event for huge groups of people, and we’ve upped our game from the last time we conducted it,’ said Amish. The high-adrenaline parts of paintball minus the possibility of injuring yourself will make it an event not to miss. 

Amish described being the Coordinator of Radioaktiv as an adventure and said that he has only now begun to appreciate the work of past coordinators. He added that interacting with clubs, attending meetings and making decisions have really helped him learn a lot more about the way the world works.

‘The Oasis 2022 prom night will be the best one we have ever been able to pull off so far, and it will simply be magical,’ reassured Amish. As a parting note, he invited everyone on campus to participate in their events and hoped that the hard work the club has put in will be appreciated.
