The BOSM English Press sat down with Tejus Jain, the Captain of the Snooker Team to get insights on the team’s preparation and aspirations for the upcoming edition of BOSM.
Tejus shared that the Snooker team was preparing in full swing and expressed optimism about their prospects of clinching victory. To ensure the team’s readiness, Tejus said that he schedules games daily for specific sets of people within the team. He emphasized the importance of experience and consistent practice for the team’s performance.
As captain, Tejus is responsible for ensuring that all team members attend practice sessions and fostering a sense of teamwork amongst them. He acknowledged the Institute’s support in providing the necessary inventory but pointed out that the lack of air conditioning in the Snooker room posed a significant challenge. ‘A lack of air conditioning leads to sweating, which affects the focus of the players’, he said.
Anticipating tough competition, Tejus has adjusted his team’s approach. He plans on giving preference to players who consistently perform at their best and attend all practice sessions instead of giving each member an equal opportunity regardless of involvement. As captain, he aspires to experience his proudest moment by securing first place during the upcoming edition of BOSM. Tejus concluded by describing his experience as captain as a rewarding and fulfilling journey.
