The APOGEE English Press reached out to Arunav Garg, the coordinator of Team BITS, for a conversation regarding the club’s plans for the upcoming fest.

Arunav shared that this year, the club would be organizing only one event, titled BITS Expo. He explained that the event would allow technical teams from BITS and other colleges to present the projects they have been working on. Arunav further stated that this was their first time hosting an event, and in previous years, the club only had a booth that showcased the automobile projects they had made. This year, they were open to showcasing all types of projects. Arunav noted that when not engaged with fest activities, the club works on different projects and participates in the Shailicko marathon, an efficiency-based marathon with various categories. He added that Team BITS focuses on the urban concept category, which concentrates more on daily usable vehicles, and the prototype category, which aims to figure out how to gain the maximum efficiency of a vehicle.

When asked about their preparations for the event, Arunav said that the club had been contacting multiple teams from other colleges and is currently in touch with over ten teams. He mentioned that they are in search of sponsors for the fest and are also looking for start-ups that want to present their projects.

When asked about any issues they faced, Arunav chuckled and said apart from filling in a lot of forms given by CoStAA, he had not come across any challenges.

In conclusion, Arunav said that he expects this fest to be livelier than the last, considering how much effort everyone has put in.
