With APOGEE 2024 just around the corner, the coordinator of Team Anant, Jyotiraditya Sikder, took some time out of his busy schedule and sat with the APOGEE English Press to describe the events that Team Anant will be organising for the fest.

Jyotiraditya explained that Team Anant will be organising a total of three events this year. The first of these events is going to be an International Aerospace Conclave. In this conclave, international companies related to space, satellites and technology would be present in their respective exhibits and would be available to interact with students. This includes virtual presence from ISS, NASA, among others. Alongside this, Team Anant will also be organising an exhibition about the same, which aims to provide networking opportunities and industry exposure to the students. Jyotiraditya added that they have also planned a rocketry workshop. Jyotiraditya feels that Team Anant has been able to scale up its events this year, typically due to a considerable increase in its workforce. 

Talking about Anant’s preparations, Jyotiraditya said that Anant has been preparing for the fest since September, having sent invitation emails to various companies back in December. He added that the biggest challenge he has felt so far was finding the correct contact information of a PoC from a company.

Talking about his experience within Anant, Jyotiraditya said that he has come a very long way from joining as a first year with zero knowledge of satellite technology to becoming the coordinator. He feels that this has led to him sharpening his time and stress management skills and getting a deep appreciation for the value of teamwork. Jyotiraditya added that the CoStAA had been helpful and their overall communication has been smooth so far.
