With Oasis ’26 just around the corner, the Oasis English Press conversed with Aditya, the Coordinator of the Coding Club, about their preparations for this year’s events.

Aditya detailed the two events they had planned: an arcade, and a workshop jointly conducted by the Coding Club and the Claude Builder Club. They landed upon the idea of an arcade as they believed that it suited Oasis better and would bring about a higher turnout. In addition to hosting their own events they were also looking into assisting the Oasis English Press (OEP) in developing a game where encrypted hints would be hidden in the OEP articles.

The arcade booth at Oasis would offer prizes to players based on how they perform at the games. It would comprise a global leaderboard system where points would be normalised across all the games through a proprietary logic developed by the Coding Club. Players would be required to purchase a ticket in order to participate and have a chance at winning prizes.

When asked how Aditya found his experience coordinating with the StuCCA, he articulated it as a ‘pleasant challenge.’ Overall the process involved substantial deliberation, but they were consequently able to have a separate stall for the event.

Aditya also shared events which were on the horizon for APOGEE. Apart from Decrypt and International Coding League (ICL), legacy events that have been running for nearly a decade, they were also looking at collaborating with the Photography Club and the Astro Club. CodeDuel, which was pioneered last year, would also be in the rotation of events.

Concluding the interview, Aditya recommended that everyone enjoy the fest to its fullest and try out the stalls, including the one set up by the Coding Club.
